Is it your first winter with a newborn or are you juggling multiple little ones? Figuring out what you need to get you through your first winter or even your second can feel a little overwhelming. And if it is your first winter, you will learn pretty quick that staying cooped up indoors can feel pretty intense - more so, than venturing outdoors. However, freezing your hands (and butts) off or bending over to pick up blankets off the floor every thirty seconds is probably not exactly what you signed up for. That's why our Editor has handpicked a few of her favourite cold-weather essentials. Here you will find pieces designed to keep you and your little ones cosy and ready to embrace the season... no matter how many children you're wrangling.

The Binibamba x Bobochoses Footmuff for Buggy

Binibamba alone has quickly become an “it” brand amongst the social media scrollers, and for genuinely good reason. Sheepskin is unmatched for temperature regulation, keeping your baby cool in summer and warm in winter. So when they dropped this Bobochoses collab, we almost keeled over. As a boy mum, this collaboration feels like it was made for us. If you don't quite have £245 to fork out for this fancy bit of buggy kit - the budget version at John Lewis for £120 is a good enough substitute.

Sheepskin cosies aren't just for your baby. If you invest in a sheepskin footmuff for your baby you must invest in sheepskin buggy mittens for yourself. That's an unspoken rule that we have decided to speak. Crafted from super snug sheepskin with a smart suede outer, they are more than gorgeous; they are iconic. They fasten to your buggy bar, so they are always ready to go. You and your partner can fight over them if you would like.

Artipoppe Baby Carrier with Sheepskin Liner

Unless you've been living under a rock, the Artipoppe baby carrier has probably graced your feed more times than you can count since getting pregnant or giving birth. And the verdict? It's absolutely worth the hype.

Our Editor and her resolutely anti-trend husband both swear by it. The product is exceptional, the fabric is beautiful, and honestly, it's just really bloody good. They've just released new patterns, too, and the engineering is phenomenal. It's one of those rare mum pieces that elevates any outfit, and yes, you will absolutely exchange knowing smiles with every other mum you pass who's wearing one. You can also invest (and it is an investment) in the sheepskin liner to keep your baby extra cosy. Just a word of caution: remember that you and the carrier already count as layers, so keep an eye on overheating, which is genuinely dangerous for babies.

The Nappy Bag

A carabiner on your nappy bag that looks like a fancy clutch ring and attaches to your buggy? That actually is different. I personally have a Finnson Leopard print buggy bag, which is a little last year and became a bit too much of a mum trend piece. I visibly grimace every time I see someone else with it on their buggy, which is a lot. This Alf parenting essential carabiner capsule bundle is quite possibly the "it girl" choice of the next five years. The only mum I have seen it on is Saff Michealis and she is the epitome of an "it girl" mum. I'll admit I don't own it yet (working on that), so consider this a less official review and more "highly educated" (lol) prediction. But from Saff's reviews, it looks like it absolutely delivers.
